Im Neonlicht des Supermarkts lebt Katja ein unscheinbares Leben - stumm, effizient, allein. Ihre Welt besteht aus Kisten, Preisschildern und endlosen Regalen. Doch Katja hat etwas entdeckt, das nicht ins Sortiment passt - ein Puzzlestück einer düsteren Verschwörung, die weit über den Supermarkt hinausreicht. Zwischen Dosenravioli und Überwachungskameras beginnt Katjas Jagd nach der Wahrheit -und sie wird nicht mehr die gleiche sein, wenn sie ans Licht kommt.

Mawil zeichnete seine ersten Comics als Kind in den 80ern in Ost-Berlin. Nach der Wende vervielfältigte er erste eigene Hefte im Copyshop, nach einem Grafik-Studium in Weissensee erschienen seine meist autobiografischen Bücher bei Reprodukt und im Ausland. Seine grössten Erfolge waren „Wir können ja Freunde bleiben", „Kinderland" und der Hommage-Band „Lucky Luke sattelt um". So langsam wäre mal wieder ein längeres Album fällig, aber zur Zeit reichts nur für Kindercomics und kleine Automatenhefte. 

Mawil drew his first comics as a child in the 1980s in East Berlin. After the fall of the Wall, he started photocopying his own booklets, and after studying graphic design in Weissensee, his mostly autobiographical books were published by Reprodukt and abroad. His biggest successes include "We Can Still Be Friends", "Kinderland", and the tribute volume "Lucky Luke Saddles Up". It’s probably time for another full-length album, but for now there’s only time for children's comics and little vending machine booklets. 

In the neon lights of the supermarket, Katja leads an inconspicuous life - silent, efficient, alone. Her world consists of boxes, price tags, and endless shelves. But Katja has discovered something that doesn’t belong in the inventory - a puzzle piece of a dark conspiracy that reaches far beyond the supermarket. Among canned ravioli and surveillance cameras, Katja begins her hunt for the truth - and she won’t be the same once it comes to light.
